Guess the Door

My project is going to be a guessing game. There will be three light bulbs behind three different doors. One light bulb will be behind a translucent green sheet and two red sheets. There will be a “buzzer” (like in a game show) and each buzzer will connect to a different light bulb. The person participating in my project will pick one buzzer to press this buzzer may not connect to the door in front of it. They will open the door that they think connects to the buzzer and if it is the right one they will get a small prize. If it is the right one and it is green they will get a bigger prize. If they get it wrong both ways (not lit) they can try again later. Each time someone tries my activity I will change which sheet is behind which door so people can’t cheat by doing it and then telling someone else what door or buzzer to use. I am curious to find out how I can put the wires across my game without the wires stick out or get tangled. I am not sure how to showcase what I learned but I will show how you can attach more than one light bulb to one circuit. I can teach people that electricity isn’t just about attaching wires you can put a light bulb on in many ways! The guessing will be a fun way to show this and I think will be a fun game for kids to play and it is kind of like a game show type thing.

I think that your project is very fun. I like how you turned an idea from a gameshow into a electricity project. When you said you wanted to not get the wires  tangled across the board, I think you should show them, so they won't get tangled and so they are visible. Don't forget to explain the curcuit! I am wondering if you are going to write the rules for the game up or explain them, because it gets kind of confusing. Over all, great ideas. OK, this is Sonia's comment. My log in wasn't working before.

  3. Awesome Project!!!

I think that your project is very interesting.  I like how you used the idea from the gameshow.
I think that you shouldn't make your prizes too big because otherwise you'll spend a lot of money on prizes.  Maybe you can have more then three doors or have doors without prizes so that people don't win all the time.  I also think that you should make the circuit visible or find another way to explain the circuit.
I am wondering whether they players are picking one door or picking two doors, it was a little confusing.
I am sure lots of people will come to see your project.  AWESOME JOB!!!!!

  4. Exciting project!
Cool project! Your project seems great. I like how you would get a prize if you win, also I think many people will be interested on how the light bulbs are turning on and what the circuit looks like. I am wondering what the prize would be if you won and how big the doors wil be. I think you should make the circuit visible maybe so you could explain how the light bulb is turning on when you hit the buzzer. Overal, I think many people will come over to see and play your project. Great job!
